Party Time!

Man, oh man! What a day! We decided to coordinate Ivey's birthday party with our town's fall festival, which is conveniently located across the street from our house. It worked out splendidly! Although we did miss the pony rides, we had a great time. I made BBQ and we had a low stress party for our big one year old!

Ivey thoroughly enjoyed playing with her buddies and eating her weight in cake. Although she took her time with it, she really enjoyed herself! When Asa and Addison turned one, they were pretty grossed out by the texture of the frosting... and I think pretty freaked out by the crowd of onlookers (being preemies and all, we kept them out of group settings as much as possible). Well, both boys were completely amused by Ivey's cake-eating... and very pleased with the cookie cake that I made for everyone else.

Thankfully, the weather man was wrong. We had an awesome day with awesome weather... which ended with a very messy girl and some very sugared up kids!
