The boys have started doing something that I never thought they would... sleeping in the same bed. Addison usually loves her personal space. One night, Jeff came into their room in the middle of the night, just to make sure they were covered up, and he leaned over to kiss Addison. Addison started saying, "Leave me alone!" and pushing him away. I think Asa must have been bugging Addison while he was trying to go to sleep. Asa can stay up longer than Addison can. We joke that Addison turns into a pumpkin at 9:00!
At first, they would wait until we left the room, and then stay up talking. One would migrate to the other's bed to chat and then enivitably fall asleep there. Then, they would wait until we left and then pile all of their blankets and such into one bed and snuggle down together. Now, they start out in the same bed. Not all the time, but I'd say 4 nights out of the week. I think it's adorable (although they would surely think that statement was uncool).
This has made me even more excited about baby #4 on the way. Ivey will have a buddy like they do. Someone to share a room with (once Ivey gets over her light sleeping phase and the baby sleeps well enough to make it work!), to stay up chatting with, to pile up in one bed with. It won't be easy in the beginning, but it is an amazing blessing. Two big boys, two little girls. Amazing.
