The grocery store is 3 miles or less from our house. No traffic. In the very short amount of time that it takes to get from our driveway to the parking lot, here's just a few of the things I can remember that streamed out of Addison's mouth.
- You know how meteors hit the moon and made craters? What makes hills on Earth?
- You know the plates that make up the Earth and they make mountains? Do they make hills, too?
- Are those plates under the ocean?
- What about volcanoes? What causes those?
- Why doesn't the lava cool before it comes out of the volcano? It's far from the center of the Earth.
- It would be good if people didn't live near volcanoes. Wouldn't it be good if a volcano erupted and everyone was far enough away that the lava all turned to rock before it got to them?
- Wouldn't it be funny if the Earth was made of plates, like the kind we eat off of?
This is less than a third of the onslaught of questions... I am kicking myself for not remembering more. I'm now realizing why it was such a rough trip for me at the grocery store... I was exhausted before we even arrived!
