The broccoli's greener on your brother's side of the table

Last night, Ivey sat in her highchair and enjoyed a dinner of broccoli and cheese. She fed herself and liked it, which was surprising since the last time I tried to give her broccoli she refused to eat it unless I buried it in her mac and cheese. She ate it up, ate a piece of my yellow pepper, a bite of mushroom or two, and some applesauce. Then, she started to put her hands in front of her face when food came near... signaling "Don't come near me with that!" I tried a couple more times, with the same result. She signed all done, and I got her down from her seat. Dinner success!

She walked around the table to Asa, who was chowing down on a big piece of broccoli. He gave her a piece and she opened up wide. Wow! I gave him another piece. She gobbled it up. Addison tried. She loved it. That girl ate another quarter cup of broccoli from her brothers. I took a piece and gave it to her. What did she do? Covered her face with her hands and scowled! I gave the same piece immediately to Addison. For him, she opened wide. I tried twice more. She scowled and grimaced and covered her face for me and gobbled it up for her brothers! I guess I need to put this in my bag of tricks for future food refusal.
