When our house does sell and we end up moving to the southside, boy, will I miss Athens! Even as a lame-o child-rearing adult, Athens is still chock-ful of cool stuff to do. Last weekend, a friend of mine put on a Kids Halloween Dance Party at Flicker, a downtown bar & theater. We didn't have costumes ready (still working on ideas for the homemade proton packs) but Asa donned his skeleton shirt (which he has actually worn 5 out of 7 days last week... luckily, we have twins so he could alternate when one got truly dirty) and Addison grabbed his Jedi robe and light saber. Ivey just went as her cute little self.

Where else but Athens can you see a bartender dishing out juiceboxes? The music was great... the boys were thrilled to hear all their favorites, including "Dracula's Wedding" by Outkast, The Ghostbusters theme song & "Intergalactic" by the Beastie Boys. Asa people-watched as Addison got down with his bad self. Ivey was really tired, but thoroughly enjoyed the fuzzy puppet creature that kept walking around the room. Had it not been raining, we would have followed it up with dinner at Taco Stand, but even with the rain and the pooped baby, we had a very good time!
