Ivey has always waken up in the middle of the night... not because she is scared or nervous or has to puke... but most of the time just to wake me up and ask me "how long until morning?" or "what does 'hit the road' mean?" or "Can you cover Olive up again? She looks cold." I may not ever get my girl to sleep all night (she seriously was like this from the beginning. Always.), but I have to get her to respect the sleeping needs of others (mainly ME).
I gave her a pad of paper, a marker, and a crib toy with a projector and music, so she can wake up and hit the button, stay IN HER BED, and wait it out till she falls asleep. So far, I have had 2 full nights of zzz's.
In the car she says, "You gave me that giraffe toy and it works!"
Olive says, "God gave me dreams, and they work for me."
