I decided to take all four kids on a field trip to the UGA Vet School's Open House today. Luckily, I was able to get Allison to go with me. If she hadn't been able to go, I would have surely backed out! We loaded up all the kids and took off towards Athens. Using the stroller and the front carrier, we marched around the Open House. It was very crowded, but we had a good time and the kids were able to see lots of cool animals. The fistulated cow was in attendance, which is always a hit. The boys were even able to watch baby quail hatching from eggs! Afterward, we went to Taco Stand for lunch. We even made it home by Ivey's naptime! Success!
Olive screamed in the car the whole way there, and the whole way back. The only time she was happy was in the front carrier, which is not unusual for her. Poor Olive is having such a hard time. She is so gassy and in so much pain that she can't sleep. She screams out in pain. She can't nap for longer than 15 minutes without crying out. When you change her diaper, she pulls her legs up so tight you cannot get them down without a fight. She hurts... and I don't know what to do about it. It's leaving me exhausted and frustrated and in tears. I need to figure this out!!
